On Monday, April 4, at 20:30, German producer and composer Christian Löffler, one of the most creative and innovative artists in contemporary music, meets Ergon Ensemble, the leading contemporary music orchestra in Greece, for a unique live event at the Stavros Niarchos Hall that will blend together two seemingly heterogeneous worlds.

Following the release of his album Parallels by Deutsche Grammophon, in which Löffler reworks classic pieces of great composers, such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Wagner, Smetana and Bizet, framing them in downtempo soundscapes, ever-creative Löffler returns to Athens for a quite remarkable joint concert. Melodies drawn from different centuries, sounds from consoles and string instruments, "clash" on stage in a concert that is supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

The musician, composer and visual artist Christian Löffler was born in Greifswald, a small town in Northern Germany, in 1985. A low-profile but very active artist, he started out as a self-taught musician at the age of 14, in search of a different sound. His sophisticated and energetic live sets, coupled with his ability to combine melancholy notes and alternating emotions with dance music, have ensured him many fans over the years. In his current tour for the album Parallels, he is not simply inspired by classical composers, but also integrating them into the language of contemporary music.
